John Trudell - Take back the Earth

Image
John Trudell (February 15, 1946 – December 8, 2015) was a Native American author, poet, actor, musician, and political activist. He was the spokesperson for the United Indians of All Tribes' takeover of Alcatraz beginning in 1969, broadcasting as Radio Free Alcatraz. During most of the 1970s, he served as the chairman of the American Indian Movement, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

After his pregnant wife, three children and mother-in-law were killed in 1979 in a suspicious fire at the home of his parents-in-law on the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Nevada, Trudell turned to writing, music and film as a second career. He acted in three films in the 1990s. The documentary Trudell (2005) was made about him and his life as an activist and artist.

RED LIVES MATTER

Image
I know Europeans think with different brain synapse that don't quite connect, but if you can. Imagine 1000's of Indian children being forcibly removed from their homes and taken to a distant school whose goal is to turn the Red man into a White man.

The children were punished for using their native language and forced to learn Christianity in the face of the freedom of their Tribal Spirituality. Idiots assume these children were less than human and treated them as such.

These memories do not go away and serve to separate and beget animosity even today!
It is time for the white/blacks to acknowledge that RED LIVES MATTER and should be at the forefront of Societal debate today.

Essiac: Nature's Cure for Cancer Part II

Little Running Deer writes

The Ojibwa Indian “midewiwan” befriended an English couple who settled in Northern Ontario, Canada, at the turn of the century. The couple and other prospectors had come to the region hoping to get rich in the forested wilderness where the Ojibwa still lived according to traditional Native American ways.
The prospector’s wife developed a hard mass in her breast. When the Ojibwa healer heard of the woman’s condition, he offered a remedy that had been passed down by “the grandfathers.”
He told the woman and her husband that the remedy was “a holy drink that would purify her body and place it back in balance with the great spirit.”
Skeptical, the couple traveled to Toronto where the mass was diagnosed as breast cancer. The doctors urged immediate removal of the breast. The two were afraid and had no money for the operation, so they returned to the frontier, where the Ojibwa midewiwan prepared a brew. It is the Ojibwa expression for healer or medicine man.

First Nation Lands

Image
Long road winding began in the stars,
spilled onto the mountain tops,
was carried in the snow to the streams,
to the rivers, to the ocean…
It covers Canada, Alaska, America,
Mexico to Guatemala,
and keeps winding around the indigenous.
The Red Road is a circle of people
standing hand in hand,
people in this world, people between
people in the Spirit world.
star people, animal people, stone people,
river people, tree people…
The Sacred Hoop.
To walk the Red Road
is to know sacrifice, suffering.
It is to understand humility.
It is the ability to stand naked before God
in all things for your wrong doings,
for your lack of strength,
for your uncompassionate way,
for your arrogance - because to walk
the Red Road, you always know
you can do better. And you know,
when you do good things,
it is through the Creator, and you are grateful.
To walk the Red Road
is to know you stand on equal ground
with all living things. It is to know that
because you were born human,
it gives you superiority…

QUESTION -WHY ARE YOU ON FACEBOOK?

What are you doing on Facebook?

What are you doing on Facebook?

1. Are you here to gain accolades for your daily activities, which have to be daily reinforced in order for you to feel like a human being each day? Egotism handled incorrectly is one of the greatest destructive forces of our personalities that cause more mental disorders than any other destructive action that one person can do to another.

2. Or are you truly concerned about what is happening in our society today, aware of the attempts by controlling governments and controlling religions to create little voting robots out of you with no thought to who or why your voting? Or do you truly want to pay attention to the egalitarian intent of this country and do something about it?

Personally I find it disgusting how so many people seek so much attention to something so insignificant such as your day at the beach and yet no attention at all is placed on the total governmental destruction that is going on ri…

Obama's, the best I've heard

This was a true statement written  & verified on "Fact or Fiction and Snoops" .   A good read . She hit it right on.

The below summary of Barack and Michelle Obama's 5- year reign in the White House is by far the best I've ever read as it squarely hits the nail on the head. And it took a black female reporter writing it to make it as effective as it is. A white man's account would be instantly criticized by the liberal media as pure racism. But, how can anyone scream Racist when an exacting description of the Obamas is penned by a well- known journalist of color?

BEST SUMMATION OF BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA EVER!
(Mychal Massie is a respected writer and talk show host in Los Angeles .)

The other evening on my twitter, a person asked me why I didn't like the Obamas. Specifically I was asked: "I have to ask, why do you hate the Obamas? It seems personal, not policy related. You even dissed (disrespect) their Christmas family picture."

Onondaga Nation Elder on the Sacredness of Mother Earth

Onondaga Nation Elder on the Sacredness of Mother Earth from Bill Moyers.com on Vimeo. It is a source of wonderment when a reporter asks the questions he does with a sense of wonderment and awe. As if this is the first he has heard of this way of relating to Mother Earth. It is no wonder that most of the world's human population are running around with a "Sky is Falling" fear every day! The reporters are so important in forming the civil views of society and if they are getting it wrong (which they certainly are) then we all are getting it wrong, unless we teach ourselves a higher WAY! Onondaga Nation Clan Mother Audrey Shenandoah, who passed away two years ago, spoke with Bill in 1991 about her personal kinship with nature and the Onondaga Nation's concerns for our Earth in a society that "feels dominant over the elements of the creation."

SUFFERING

Image
"Close the door on old, painful memories. Close the door on old hurts, old self-righteous forgiveness. You might take an incident in the past where there was pain and hurt–something that is hard for you to forgive or look at. Ask yourself: "How long do I want to hold onto this? How long do I want to suffer because of something that happened in the past?" Now see a stream in front of you and take this old experience, this hurt, this pain, and put the whole incident in the stream and see it begin to dissolve and drift away until it disappears. You have the ability to let go. You are free." - Louise Hay. Note: Most of us have been hurt terribly by those we loved with all our hearts. This creates a formidable pain in your soul! Those in my own family have created such pain for me out of jealousy, animosity and just plain rebellion against authority. What do you do with this will have a large impact on your life if you cannot let it go. I'm not a big fan of forgi…

Alberta Tar Sands

Image
I am a bit reticent to share this because I know the need for oil is serious! However I know how beautiful Alberta is and can't reconcile this in my head. I would ask you to put your home in the center of this and then condone what is very obviously total destruction of the environment. My people come from here and in their interest and in the interest of the world I strongly object to this short sighted, coffer filling, Native Spirit-Land destructive project. Please share! - Grant RedhawkPlease visit http://www.climate-change-guide.com/t... for more information on Canada's oil sands.
Tar Sands in Alberta is Canada's worst environmental disaster. Please share this video with your friends and family in order to help spread the word. Together we can make a difference, together we can stop the destruction.

New York State Buffalo Herd Slaughter

Oki NIksokowa The few of you left that still read my posts know how angry I am about what was done to still another Buffalo herd here in New York State this weekend. My anger is a healthy anger because I believe it speaks for those who do not have the courage to evolve out of the mass ignorance that has overrun this country since the white/black man came here. Buffalo herd shot deadI am not done with my protest by a long shot and will post a very interesting video on my Web sites as soon as I have time to make it make sense to a senseless population of people who have gone mad. My anger of what is happening to this country is not just relegated to the white man but also the Black man who seemingly have started to regress back to the lower intelligence of the ape man in their continual asinine protests every time the law is enforced on their people. HEY BLACK people, if you want the law to start respecting you - then start controlling your out of control Black race who seem to flaunt…
